Device constituting a slipping obturator for a projectile fired through a rifled barrel, consisting of a ring arranged in an opening in the projectile, of a forward seat placed against the forward edge of the opening, of an obturator body of plastic material placed in the opening, wherein the said body includes teeth in contact with the ring, and of a means of locking the body axially in the opening.
