PURPOSE:To produce 'Permalloy(R)' sheets having a film which excels in an insulating characteristic, corrosion resistance and heat resistance by forming the film consisting of a specific org. metal compd. or the resulted product of the decomposition thereof on the surface of the 'Permalloy(R)' sheets. CONSTITUTION:The insulating characteristic between the 'Permalloy(R)' sheets contg. 40-90% Ni and having 0.05-5mm thickness is intensified to improve the AC magnetic characteristics as an iron core in the case of using the 'Permalloy(R)' sheets as the iron core material for light electrical appliances. The thin film consisting of at least one kind among acetylacetonato and the deriv. thereof, further the Na salt, K salt and other salts thereof and org. metal compd. having >=1 metal alkoxide or alkoxyl groups is formed on at least one face of the 'Permalloy(R)' sheets. The 'Permalloy(R)' sheets which have the excellent insulating characteristic, corrosion resistance and heat resistance as the iron core and do not lose the intrinsic outstanding magnetic characteristics are thus obtd.
