PURPOSE:To enhance electric, optical, and photoconductive characteristics of a photosensitive body and characteristics of enduring environmental use conditions by forming a substrate and a photoreceptive layer composed of a long wavelength light absorbing layer, an electric charge transfer layer, and a charge generating layer laminated in this order on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic photoreceptive member 100 is obtained by successively laminating on the substrate 101 a photoreceptive layer 102 consisting of the infrared absorbing (long wavelength light absorbing) layer 103, the charge transfer layer 104 made of Non-Si(H, X) and containing at least one of C, N, and O, and at least locally containing the conductivity governing substance M, in a nonuniform distribution in the layer thickness direction, the charge generating layer 105 made of Non-Si(H, X) and provided with a free surface 106, thus permitting the obtained photoreceptive member 100 to be extremely enhanced in initial chargeability, characteristics of enduring successive repeated uses and environmental use conditions, high voltage resistance, durability, and the like. |
