The frame plate (1), the column (2) and the slidable cardle are intended to support a drilling machine (4) or similar drive arrangement for a drill (4a) so that the latter points parallel towards one end of the column. Between a point in the area of the one end of the column and the cradle functions a sprung component (7) working in conjunction with a tensioner (6) which, against or without the effect of gravity on the drilling machine and cradle, produces a predetermined drilling pressure. The sprung component, comprising a piece of so-called rubber cord, runs over a break roller (8). One end is operatively connected to the tension mechanism, which incorporates a back stop permitting manual rolling-up operations on a roller. The column is articulately connected to the frame plate. |
