PURPOSE:To prevent the exposure of the introduced raw water and the inclined plate of the title device to the sunlight by providing a supporting plate so as to separate into plural rows in parallel in the widthwise direction, and furnishing a trough to cover the upper part of the gap between the adjacent supporting plates in an inclined plate settling basin. CONSTITUTION:In the inclined plate settling basin, the supporting plate 2 for supporting the inclined plate 1 is uprightly arranged in the longitudinal direction, the width is separated into plural rows in parallel, and plural troughs 3 are supported on the supporting plate 2 to cover the upper part of the gap between the respective supporting plates 2. As a result, the device need not be roofed or covered with a sheet, the exposure of the introduced raw water and the inclined plate 1 to the sunlight can be prevented by the trough 3 itself, the propagation of algae and the deterioration of the inclined plate 1 are controlled, the time and cost required for the maintenance and control are reduced, and the operation rate can be improved.
