PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure oxygen concentration rapidly and in high precision, by irradiating a reaction system in a constant temperature bath with light rays from the outside of the constant temperature bath, measuring absorbance of light with specific wavelength, subjecting a function of time showing change in the absorbance to Fourier transformation and calculating oxygen concentration. CONSTITUTION:In a constant temperature bath 8 equipped with an optical window 14 to transmit light rays to inside and outside, a reaction system 1 which is in a steady state at a fixed temperature in a condition free from light irradiation is set. The reaction system 1 is irradiated with light rays in a pulse state by a light source part 3 at the outside of the constant temperature bath. Further absorbance of light rays with specific wavelength in the reaction system is measured by an absorbance measuring means 5. A function of time showing change in absorbance is subjected to Fourier transformation by a calculating part 6 to calculate each concentration of oxygen contained in the reaction system. Consequently oxygen concentration can be instantly measured, measurement is carried out rapidly and measurement precision can be improved by preventing error factors with time from entering into the reaction system. |
