PURPOSE:To improve heat response to an article to be measured and to enhance detection accuracy, by fixing a heat-sensitive element to the notch groove of a molded body or foamed molded body having rubbery elastic force by a resin so that the surface of the substrate of said element becomes flush with the upper surface of the molded body. CONSTITUTION:An electrode and a heat-sensitive film are formed to the single surface of a ceramic substrate and a pair of lead wires are connected to the surface of the electrode and protected by low m.p. glass or an epoxy resin to form a heat-sensitive element 10. This heat-sensitive element 10 is fixed to a foamed molded rubber 12 having a notch groove 11 by a silicone resin 13 so that the surface of the substrate is turned upwardly and becomes flush with the upper surface of the foamed molded rubber 12. This element unit is received in a resin case 15 excellent in heat resistance and protected by a protective tape 16. By this method, the surface of the heat-sensitive element is closely contacted with an article to be measured to eliminate the levitation or unstable close contact irregularity between said element and the article to be measured and the detection error of the surface temp. is eliminated and detection accuracy or a heat response speed is enhanced.
