PURPOSE:To obtain the high cylinder machining accuracy by providing a bearing supporting a metal pipe at its end, a support ring supporting the middle side of the metal pipe from the inner side, a male jig and a female jig integrally screwed and supporting the support ring and rotating the rubber roller side. CONSTITUTION:A support ring 3 is coupled on the middle side in a metal pipe 5 and supports the metal pipe 5 from the inner side, a male jig 1 and a female jig 2 screwed to it press and clamp the support ring 3 from both sides while two-point-supporting the metal pipe 5 at both ends via bearings 4, 4. Under this condition, the metal pipe 5 side is rotated integrally with the support ring 3. Accordingly, during the grinding work of a rubber body 6, it is not machined into a shape bulged at the middle side, and a rubber roller with high cylinder machining accuracy can be obtained.
