PURPOSE:To form the shell mold having a lenient surface shape without using the die worked in a lenient surface shape by molding a mold by giving a temp. difference to an outer die and inner die. CONSTITUTION:The outer die 3 consisting of a mobile die 1 and stationary die 2 is subjected to a temp. rise by a heater 5a and an inner die 4 by a heater 5b, a shell sand is filled up with its blowing into a cavity 6 and a shell core 8 is then formed. Owing to the inner die 4 having higher temp. than that of the outer die 3 the inner face side of the core becomes higher than the temp. of the outer face side, so the surface side of the shell core 8 is solidified and the shell core 8 is taken out with its die opening in the state of the inner part not being solidified. Due to the shell core 8 being composed of a plate part 9 and surface part 10 the plate part 9 of the lower part of the shell core 8 is subjected to a plastic deformation in a lenient recessed surface shape on its outer face and a lenient projecting surface shape on its inner face. Further solidification progresses on the shell core 8 and a lenient surface shape is fixed.
