PURPOSE:To stabilize the continuous injection of ink liquid droplets, by constituting the title apparatus of a rotary body having a plurality of heat generating elements arranged to the peripheral edge part thereof and an ink supplypar for supplying high viscosity ink to the central part of the rotary body. CONSTITUTION:When the rotary body 11 supported by a rotary shaft 14 is rotated by a rotary mechanism 13 and high viscosity ink 19 or heat-meltable solid ink 20 is supplied to the central part of said rotary body 11 from an ink supply part 15, sand ink is flowed to the peripheral edge part of the rotary body 11 by the centrifugal force of the rotary body 11. Next, a voltage pulse is selectively applied to a plurality of the heat generating elements 12 provided along the peripheral edge part of the rotary circuit 17 through a voltage applying terminal 16 to generate heat and the inks 19, 20 of the heat generating elements 12 or in the vicinity thereof are rapidly lowered in viscosity. These ink 19, 20 lowered in viscosity become weak in adhesive strength to be flown from the end edge part of the rotary body 11 in ink liquid droplets by the centrifugal force of said rotary body 11 and adhered to recording paper 18 to record dot printing. In this system, since no jet nozzle is provided, clogging with ink is eliminated and the stable and continuous injection of ink liquid droplets can be performed. |
