PURPOSE:To restrain rise of potential in the light and variance of potential in the dark by incorporating a thiokol derived resin in an undercoat layer. CONSTITUTION:The thiokol derived resin is incorporated in the undercoat layer between the conductive substrate and the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body. The thiokol of the main skeleton of the thiokol derived resin performs oxidation-reduction action, and donation and reception of electrons. The undercoat layer can be constituted of the thiokol derived resin alone, but since it is generally difficulty soluble, it is preferred to disperse it into another binder resin, such as polyvinyl butyral or phenol resins, and to use the mixture. The undercoat layer is formed in a thickness of 0.1-10mum, preferably, 0.5-5mum, by dip coating, spray coating, roll coating, or the like method, thus permitting rise of potential in the light and variance of potential in the dark to be restrained and a stable image to be obtained. |
