PURPOSE:To furnish plural sets of windows extended longitudinally to the cathodes projecting in the direction of the cathode installation, and to restrict the unnecessary vibration of the cathodes securely, by furnishing plural linear cathodes extended at an interval at the center, and rear side electrodes and electron beam pickup electrodes at both sides of the central cathodes. CONSTITUTION:At a rear side electrode 2 side of an electrode 1a of plural linear cathodes 1a to 1d of an electron beam generating device, plural projections 7a to 7e are contacted in the longitudinal direction to the electrode 1a at specific intervals. To the other electrodes 1b to 1d, projections 7a to 7e are contacted in the same manner. The projections 7a to 7e contacting the electrodes 1a to 1d are formed integrally to a plate-formed vibration-proof body 8 along the longitudinal direction of the the cathodes responding to the electrodes 1a to 1d, and the projections 7a to 7e are formed from the upper side of the windows 9a to 9d toward the lower side. Moreover, the vibration- proof body 8 is formed of a glass ceramics or the like, to restrict the unnecessary vibration of the cathodes.
