PURPOSE:To improve operability by displaying one mark corresponding to each partial image constituting an image and judging that the partial image corresponding to the mark is specified when the displayed mark is specified. CONSTITUTION:Symbols 201-203 in the figure are marks to specify the partial images. Circles are drawn outside black dots, and the partial images are jointed by extension lines. A graphic cursor is moved to the mark to decide on an object to be edited. The partial images used in this example are the mountain and cloud, totaling two, and hence two partial image tables 302a and 302b are prepared. However, in fact a variety of partial images can be expected, and the same number of partial image tables have to be prepared.
