PURPOSE:To quickly perform speed change operation with small operating physical force by providing a rotating member rotated in a body with a moving sleeve and disposing the first friction member for increasing the speed of the rotating member and the second friction member for decreasing the speed of the rotating member. CONSTITUTION:A doughnut-shaped first friction pad 28 is disposed on a movable sheave 9 side of a flange portion 15 and the second friction pad 29 is disposed on the opposide side in such a manner as to move in the axial direction of a driving shaft 5. In this arrangement, when the first or second friction pad 28, 29 is brought into contact with the flange portion 15, a moving sleeve 13 is forced to produce a difference in speed with the driving shaft 5 through the flange portion 15, and according to the moving sleeve 13, the movable sleeve 9 is moved by the turning force of the driving shaft 5 to make speed change. Thus speed change operation can be performed quickly with a small operating physical force.
