PURPOSE:To obtain an exact height dimension by press working by omitting end face cutting, by forming from a plate material and forming plural slits in the peripheral direction of one end of a cylinder, and thereafter, bending and forming a non-slit part being adjacent to the slit, to the inner wall side of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A first bending completed part 4 is obtained by forming plural slits in the peripheral direction of one end of the periphery from a plate material, and bending a non-slit part 3b by 90 degrees. When this first bending completed part 4 is set to a set hole 22a, and a second bending upper die 20 is allows to descend in the direction of S, an outside taper 21a of the lower end of a bending punch 21 bends the non-slit part 3b which is bent horizontally, to the inside. Subsequently, a bending and forming part 21b bends the non-slit part 3b until it is brought into contact with the inside periphery and superposed, and when it reaches the bottom dead center, the second bending is completed entirely, and height H of the second bending completed part, namely, product is determined exactly.
