PURPOSE:To transmit both picture and control signals just with a single channel by transmitting a synchronizing signal having a 1st cycle and then the control code information with a synchronizing signal having a 2nd cycle larger than the 1st cycle by an integer multiple for control of the working of the reception side before a synthetic video signal of both picture and synchronizing signals is transmitted and received. CONSTITUTION:The outputs of a multiplexer 2 and a 4-bit counter 3 are inputted to a P/S shift register 4 for 8-bit P/S output. The output of the register 4 controls an SYNC generating circuit 5 for output of a synchronizing signal 'fsync' of a cycle 8mus, for example, with 'High 1' and then a synchronizing signal 2fsync of a cycle 4mus with 'Low 0' respectively. These synchronizing signals are synthesized together with the video signals given from a video signal producing part 6 through a synthesizing circuit 7 and delivers in the form of synthetic video signals. In such a way, the code signals which control a receiver are transmitted via the same signal line to omit a different channel exclusive for control.
