摘要 <p>The invention relates to a matrix electronic shutter controller for optical image transmission or projection apparatus. The device allows the control of contrasts by means of flat screens placed in the path of the light rays from the light source. The image formed by the optical lens on the matrix optical sensor can originate directly from the projector. The semi-reflecting mirror (or a glass pane fulfilling the same function) taps off a portion of the light emitted by the light source. The matrix optical sensor transforms the illuminations into electric charges, the analog-to-digital converter transforms these charges into voltages, the electronic computer carries out various arithmetic operations including inversion and spatial convolution, the buffer memory of this computer, the parallel interface circuit managing the peripheral, the controller of direct access to the memory, and the random-access memory. The read-only memory stores the programming for the main computer whose input conveys the synchronising pips to other projectors or the sound tape which spools out simultaneously. The keyboard contains an input for messages coded on this sound tape and controls the working of the device. For the focusing of the projected image, the servo-mechanism controls the conjoint longitudinal displacement of the optical lenses. The character generator and the shift register, mounted in parallel, transmit to the demultiplexer the display desired on the flat screens placed ahead of the images to be projected in the paths of the light rays emitted by the source. The clocks pace the working of the device which is supplied with electrical power by the AC and DC supplies. The optical element, which we shall call the image mixer, has the function of blending the images in such a way that they are projected by the same objective onto the same projection screen. It can include the use of semi-reflecting mirrors or glass panes or a shutter, which are periodic, in rotation for example. The flat screens can include plural layers of electrosensitive photoactive materials for colouring or polarising the image, together with spatial variations of these effects.</p>
