PURPOSE:To record another information in addition to original information by providing an ion current generation type electrostatic recording head which can erase the image part of original information overlapping additional information by destaticization even if the recording area of additional information overlaps the image part. CONSTITUTION:When the contents of additional information, the size of a recording paper, the area of additional information, the preference of additional information, etc., are designated, these information are inputted to a control part 166 through gates 164 and 165. The control part 166 processes these information and temporarily records processing results in a RAM. When the area of an electrostatic latent image passes a partial destaticizing lamp 4 after the electrostatic latent image is formed on an electrified photosensitive belt 2, the control part 166 outputs a control signal to remove the electrostatic charge on the area, where additional information should be formed, based on the stored contents of the RAM. A decoder driver 167 decodes this signal and turns on transistors TRs 169 and 170 and lights light emitting diodes corresponding to the additional information forming the area to erase the latent image on this area, and an electrostatic charge image corresponding to additional information is formed when this area passes through a writing head 5. |
