<p>A linear guide device for a gas cutting torch comprises a bar (2), with a carriage (8) for the torch movable along the bar (2). The bar is secured to metal plate to be cut by magnetic locking feet (36). Each foot (36) includes a head (38) engaged in a groove (6) extending along the underside of the bar (2) and a locking wheel (42) for locking the foot in a selected position along the groove. Each foot (36) carries at its base an annular magnet or an annular array of magnets (48) exposed to grip the metal plate.</p> |
