In a container-closure combination (1 and 5), the closure (1) has an obstructing means (3), which extends only part way round the perimeter of the closure and which normally obstructs a portion (8) of the container to prevent disengagement of the closure. The obstructing means is joined to the remainder of the closure by at least two manually breakable joins which can be easily broken to allow obstructing means (3) to move clear of the obstructed portion (8) of the container to permit said disengagement. The means (3) snaps over the portion (8) on initial application. The breakable panel (2) which carries the means (3) may be provided with a tab to assist breaking the joins without using a tool. In an alternative embodiment, the closure is a composite of two parts. <IMAGE>
