摘要 PURPOSE:To check the increase of current capacity, by controlling the first cycloconverter in starting so as to lower the frequency of voltage applied to a phase advance capacitor less than the rated value and then by building it up gradually. CONSTITUTION:A high-frequency link converter is equipped with the first and second circulating current type cycloconverters (hereinafter referred to as CC 1-2) and a high-frequency phase advance capacitor CAP and drives a three- phase AC motor M. As a control circuit, in addition, a starting control circuit START, a voltage control circuit AVR, a speed control circuit SPC, a reactive power control circuit AQR, etc., are provided. In starting the converter, the gate block of the first CC-1 is thereby released. The frequency command of the reference signal is set to the value lower than the rated frequency, and the gate is turned ON to set up the voltage applied to the phase advance capacitor CAP. After this voltage is set up, the gate block of the second CC-2 is released and the frequency command value is set to the rated value, so that the converter is shifted to the stationary operation.
