PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of temperature measurement and the efficiency of attaching job of a temperature measuring instrument by installing a hole extending to the inside from the corner of a separator which is one of separators and attaching a thermo couple for measuring the temperature in the hole. CONSTITUTION:A blined hole 22 extending near the center of a separator plate 5 from its corner 21 is installed in a separator 4 placed every several pieces in a stacking direction of separators 4. The hot contact of a thermo couple 24 protected with a ceramic tube 23 is inserted into the hole 22, and the cold contact is connected to an instrument through the gap between manifolds 10a, 11b. The hot contact and the cold contact of the thermo couple 24 are not exposed to high temperature carbonate and reaction gases. The thermo couple 24 is prevented from corrosion and can steadily measure the temperature for a long time. Since the thermo couple 24 can be attached independent of the manifold, the efficiency of attaching job is remakably increased. |
