PURPOSE:To shorten the manufacturing time, by dividing a nozzle diaphragm, which is formed as an integrated body into an annular shape, into two parts and firmly providing each one shim to respective, horizontal joining surfaces, with which the diaphragm is divided into two parts. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle diaphragm consisting of a nozzle plate 1 in addition to both an outer ring 5 and an inner ring 4, which interpose the said nozzle plate 1, is formed as an integrate body into an annular shape. Next, the nozzle diaphragm is divided into two parts by means of horizontal joining surfaces 6, and shims 6a, whose thickness is equal to the dimensional tolerance or permissible errors, are provided firmly to the horizontal joining surfaces 6. With this contrivance, the time required for manufacturing the nozzle diaphragm can be shortened.
