PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity by constituting an photoconductive layer locally formed by alternately laminating plural semiconductor films each made mainly of silicon, partially microcrystallized, and containing one of C, O, and N, in a concentration in each layer different from each other, and continuously changed near the interlayer between each semiconductor film. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is obtained by laminating on a conductive substrate 1 a barrier layer 2; the photoconductive layer 3 locally formed by alternately laminating the plural semiconductor films made mainly of silicon partially microcrystallized, and containing one of C, O, and N, in a concentration in each layer different from each other, and continuously changed near the interlayer between each semiconductor film, that is, the layer region of superlattice structure; and a surface layer 4; thus permitting the photoconductive layer 3 to generate carriers extended in life and enhanced in mobility by the presence of the superlattice structure, and the electrophotographic sensitive body to be remarkably enhanced in sensitivity. |
