PURPOSE:To give no anxiety to an operator and at the same time to quickly recover the trouble of a machine tool by having input of the maintenance procedures corresponding to each maintenance subject in the form of the character data and producing a data table showing correspondence between the character data and the picture data. CONSTITUTION:The equipment is constituted of a maintenance data producing device 1 is which produces the maintenance data needed for repairs and maintenance based on the result of the trouble diagnoses and a trouble diagnosing device 31 which displays the maintenance data produced by the device 1 in a maintenance mode or a trouble diagnosis mode. Then the maintenance subjects are image picked up for production of the picture data and at the same time the character data which describes the maintenance procedures of subjects are produced and stored. These produced data are set opposite to each other via a data table and both picture and character data corresponding to the maintenance subjects are retrieved and displayed. Therefore the input job of the picture data is simplified and the clear pictures of maintenance pictures are easily obtained.
