PURPOSE:To restrain the sticking and detaching of inclusion and metal, to prevent the clogging of nozzle and to improve the quality of cast slab by forming the inner surface layer of refractory forming the submerged nozzle to the specific thickness by refractory composition having the specific grain size. CONSTITUTION:The surface layer 2 of nozzle body 1 of submerged nozzle for continuous casting poured molten metal into a tundish or mold is formed by the refractory composition having <=0.15mm grain size in at least 2mm depth from the inner face of refractory forming this. In this way, the initial roughness (RA) in the inner face of nozzle is held at about <=3.5 and by fine grain, the gently roughness face is formed and by smooth action, the sticking of inclusion and metal is restrained, and the deposit and detaching of it is not occurred. |
