PURPOSE:To prevent a paper jam during guiding movement, breakage at a reference end or the like from occurring as well as to secure such a conveying mechanism that is inexpensive and high in reliability by a simple structure, by making slippage regulations during the guiding movement releasable with rotation of a reference guide by a driving source. CONSTITUTION:After printing paper 8 is held between a feed roller 4 and a pressure roller 5, if a solid 15 is energized with a continuous rating current and made so as be moved in a (c) direction, a reference guide 14 is rotated in an arrow (a) direction centering on the fulcrum shaft 14a, and slippage regulations in the conveying direction of the printing paper 8 are released. That is to say, after slippage at the time of setting the printing paper 8 is regulated by a reference guide 14, a regulating part of the reference guide is retreated to a left end face of the printing paper 8, releasing the slippage regulation in the conveying direction, and a paper jam, breakage at a reference end or the like at the time of conveyance are prevented from occurring. Therefore, such a conveying mechanism that is inexpensive and high in reliability is securable with a simple structure.
