PURPOSE:To enhance a degree of design freedom and make paper unvoluminous upwardly as well as to secure an inexpensive facsimile or the like, by setting the paper in a state of being somewhat bent, and forcibly pressing its tip to a meeting part between a paper feed roller and a friction separate member with restoring force inherent in the paper. CONSTITUTION:A tip of paper 26 is adjoined to a meeting part between a paper feed roller 23 and a friction separate plate 24 and et thereto in a state of being somewhat bent, then the paper tip is forcibly pressed to the meeting part with restoring force inherent in the paper 26. And, if the paper feed roller 23 is rotated and driven, plural sheets of the paper 26 are bitten into space between the paper feed roller 23 and the friction separate member 24, but the paper 26 at the lowermost part is separated from the paper 26 other than that by the friction separate plate 24, so that only the paper 26 at the lowermost part is fed by the paper feed roller 23. Therefore, a set position of the paper 26 being fed will not receive any restrictions, so that a degree of design freedom is high enough, the paper will by no means be bulk large upwardly and, what is more, a complex auxiliary device is no longer required, thus such equipment as a compact, inexpensive facsimile or the like is securable.
