PURPOSE:To detect the degree of displacement of a valve by obtaining an output voltage proportional to the displacement of the valve by a magneto- resistance element and measuring variation in the voltage. CONSTITUTION:A detection shaft 9 is constituted by coupling a coupling part 9B with a plunger 11 and coupling the coupling part 4 of a cylinder 1 with a valve cylinder 12. In this state, an adjusting tool 6 is rotated to move forth or back a magnetic sensor 7 lengthwise along sensor fitting parts 1A and 1A of the cylinder 1 so that the plunger 11 is set at a specific position. The when the plunger 11 moves lengthwise, when a yoke 10 moves forth or back associatively and then magneto-resistance elements 7D, 7D', 7E, and 7E' shift in magnetic field position, so that the voltage between output terminals 8 and 8' varies to a plus and a minus side.
