摘要 PURPOSE:To improve a resonance supercharging effect through simple structure, by a method wherein a suction passage is formed with a collecting part, communicated to the suction port of each cylinder through a branch suction passage, and a passage for resonance communicated to the collecting part, and a timing valve is located in the branch suction passage. CONSTITUTION:A suction port 6 situated to each cylinder of a series 4-cylinder engine is connected to collecting part 22 through a branch suction passage 23, and a common suction passage 24 acting as a resonance passage is connected to the collecting part 22. A timing valve 31 is disposed to a branch suction passage 23, and the valve 31 is formed such that a rotor 33 is rotatably situated in a housing 32 where an inflow port 34 normally connected to the collecting part 22 side and an outflow port 35 normally connected to the suction port 6 side are situated in each passage 23. The timing valve 31 is controlled such that it is opened in a delay than the opening timing of the suction port at least during low rotation high load running, and the control causes reduction of overlap between the cylinders occurring during the opening period of the suction port, and improves a resonance supercharging effect.
