PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable liquid crystal display panel which is free from fluctuation of the dimensions of a sealing agent, by applying the sealing agent to an injecting hole in a state where two transparent substrates in the vicinity of the injecting hole of the panel are pushed toward another by means of a pressing jig, etc., with a fixed pressure and completely sealing the panel after the sealing agent is sucked in the panel by removing the pressure. CONSTITUTION:A panel is pressed with a fixed pressure by means of a panel pressing jig 6 and the panel is depressed before applying an enclosing agent 4 to an injecting hole 4. When the sealing agent 5 is applied to the injecting hole 4 under this condition and the pressure is removed by removing the jig 6 after applying the agent 5, the panel returns to its original state where it is not depressed and the sealing agent 5 is sucked in the panel. The panel pressing conditions (pressure, pressing place, etc.) depend upon the shape of the panel. Therefore, a liquid crystal display panel which is high in airtightness, reliability, and quality and free from fluctuation of shape and dimensions is obtained. |
