PURPOSE:To produce a deoxidant packed material suitably preserving freshness of foods, without causing stains even in foods with high water content, alcohol- containing goods, foods containing a large amount of oil, etc., and losing oxygen removing function, obtained by packing a deoxidant into a specific air-permeable sheet. CONSTITUTION:Plastic fibers (preferably consisting of polyethylene, etc.) are made into paper, which is dried, impregnated with a fluororesin (preferably tetrafluoroethylene resin, etc.) and pressed by hot rolls to give an air-permeable sheet 2. A deoxidant (preferably one containing iron powder) 3 is packed by totally or partially using the air-permeable sheet to give a deoxidant packed material. A reinforcing material may be laminated in order to improve strength of the sheet 2.
