PURPOSE:To confirm the input efficiently without using much time by returning important picture information and error occurrence information to a destination. CONSTITUTION:In detecting an error line, error line information is added to picture information sent to a host computer 1. The host computer 1 recognizes a frame representing a seal stamp 102 from the fetched picture information and segments an area surrounded by the frame. Then the host computer 1 recognizes a frame representing a seal stamp number 110, recognizes character/ picture information in the frame as the character, converts the result into code information to check the seal stamp number. The segmented seal stamp picture information and the seal stamp number information are stored in a storage device 5 while the input number of times information of the seal stamp number is added. Then the host computer 1 sends the said picture information and a telephone number of a facsimile equipment 2 to a facsimile connecting device 3 to command the transmission to the facsimile equipment 2.
