PURPOSE:To facilitate the three-dimensional manipulation of graphic by using an output device to perform operations to be applied to the graphic displayed on a display device and outputting the signals corresponding those operations via a detecting device. CONSTITUTION:This graphic operating device consists of an output device 1, a detecting device 2, a display device 3 and an arithmetic unit 4. The device 1 is equal to a magnetic glove which is properly moved on the device 2 to produce signals via the device 2. Then the device 1 outputs a signal having such a waveform corresponding to the movement of the device 1 to the unit 4 via the device 2. Thus unit 4 can shift a graphic displayed on the screen of the device 3 to an optional position in a three-dimensional space on the screen of the device 3 together with reduction/magnification and a partial deformation of said graphic.
