PURPOSE:To surely load and rise an initial program by deciding whether or not its own identification data stored in an identification storing area has the highest priority and defining its own processor as a bootstrap processor where the initial program is loaded when it is confirmed that its own identification data has the highest priority. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply is applied, processors 1a-1n perform their own diagnosing programs respectively for self-diagnoses. It is decided whether its own processor is equal to a bootstrap processor or not if it is decided that a system state monitor line is released. That is, it is decided whether an identification number is stored or not in an allocated area having a higher rank than that corresponding to its own identification number. If not, a bootstrap processor is decided. When it is decided that its own processor is equal to a bootstrap processor, the initial program is loaded and started. Thus a multi-processor system is led. |
