PURPOSE:To limit the titled device so that, for instance, the focal length of a lens does not exceed a short distance photographing area, by constituting said device so that a direction detecting means detects whether the photographing direction of a camera part is a direction of an original placing table or not, and in case of the direction of the original placing table, a control means controls a movable range of a distance adjusting mechanism of the camera part. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a direction detecting means SW4 for detecting whether the photographing direction of a camera part is a direction of an original placing table or not, and a control means for controlling a movable range of a distance adjusting mechanism of the camera part in accordance with this direction detecting means SW4. The switch SW4 is a direction detecting means which does not conduct in case when the camera part is directed forward, and conducts in case when it is directed downward, and a cam 102a allows the SW4 to conduct, when the camera part is directed toward the original placing table. In this way, in case when the camera part is directed onto the original placing table and photographing is executed, it can be limited so that the focal length of a lens does not exceed a short distance photographing area, therefore, the operability is improved.
