PURPOSE:To realize the smooth flow of oil and to suppress the rise in temperature of a winding by a method wherein an insulating barrier is installed at a part in the height direction and in the peripheral direction of the winding between the winding and an insulating drum located at the outside of the winding while the insulating barrier is fixed by a spacer for the winding. CONSTITUTION:A winding 1 is wound around an insulating drum 3 located at the inside of the winding; a spacer 2 for the winding is installed in the axial direction and in the peripheral direction of the winding 1 ; an insulating drum 4 located at the outside of the winding is supported by a spacer 2a for the winding; an insulating barrier 5 is installed, partially, between the winding 1 and the insulating drum 4 located at the outside of the winding. The insulating barrier 5 can be installed only at the required part where the electric field is concentrated at the external peripheral plane of the winding; normally, it can be kept to less than one-sixth of the external periphery of the winding; this barrier does not narrow the oil route for the winding; by installing the insulating barrier 5 it is possible to reduce the rise in temperature of the winding to a minimum. In addition, because it is possible to make use of the spacer for the winding when the insulating barrier is fixed in the axial direction and in the peripheral direction of the winding, the operation is easy.
