PURPOSE:To improve the resistance of the title sheet to gasoline, alcohol, and a fuel contg. alcohol by providing an Al-Mn alloy plated layer having a specified composition on the surface of a steel sheet contg. a specified amt. of Cr. CONSTITUTION:The plated layer of an Al-Mn alloy contg. 8-40% Mn is provided on the surface of a steel sheet contg. 1-20wt% Cr at 3-50g/m<2>. In this case, a Zn-Ni alloy plated layer contg. 5-95% Ni can be previously furnished on the steel sheet. In the plated steel sheet, when the content of Mn in the alloy plated layer is controlled to <8%, the effect of the addition of Mn is not exhibited, the plating property is deteriorated at >40% Mn, and the corrosion resistance is also deteriorated. The potential difference between the alloy plated film and the base steel sheet is sufficiently kept, the difference must not be excessively increased, and very excellent corrosion resistance can be obtained by the synergistic effect of both regulations.
