摘要 PURPOSE:To make any danger preventable, by increasing the extent of spindle speed by degrees, and registering the speed just before amplitude at a desired oscillation frequency range goes beyond the critical value the critical speed, in case of a numerically controlled machine tool. CONSTITUTION:Spindle speed of a machine tool is increase in stages by a speed setting device 20, and amplitude at an oscillation frequency range corresponding to the speed at each stage is detected by a vibro-pointer 12 and an analyzer 14, comparing it with the specified critical value at a comparing device 30. And, on the of this compared result, a critical speed setting device 40 register the speed at the stage just before the amplitude goes beyond the critical value as the tool's critical value, comparing it with the tool speed indicated by a NC machining program, and a machining command device 5 judges whether the issue of a machining command is right or wrong by the output. Thus, the critical speed of a tool can be easily set without skilled labor and, what is more, prevention against danger and accuracy of finishing are improvable.
