PURPOSE:To provide a razor coating agent composed of a silicone oil and/or a dimethylpolysiloxane derivative, etc., effective in smoothening the feeling of the razor to the skin in shaving, eliminating the pain of the skin and preventing the damage of the skin. CONSTITUTION:The objective razor coating agent is composed of a silicone oil such as dimethylsilicone oil or a dimethylpolysiloxane derivative such as methylphenyl silicone oil, polyether-modified silicone oil, fluorine-modified silicone oil, higher fatty acid-modified silicone oil, etc., or their mixture. A coating film of the coating agent formed on the razor edge is sufficiently thin to keep the shaving effect of the razor edge. Since the film has lubricating effect, the edge of the razor slips on the surface of the skin and shaves the beard without damaging the skin. Furthermore, the coating film is not easily washed out with soap, etc., because of its high adsorptivity and protects the razor from rust.
