Process for the detection and immunological assay of nucleic acids present in biological media, which consists in immobilising the nucleic acid to be assayed on a support capable of ensuring retention and of permitting the carrying out of an immunodetection reaction, in incubating the said immobilised nucleic acid with an immunological reagent consisting of anti-nucleic acid monoclonal antibodies for an appropriate period, in an appropriate incubation medium, then in visualising the complex formed by any appropriate method of visualisation. Application of the said process to the detection and to the immunological assay of nucleic acids as well as to their purification and to the purification of a biological product for human or veterinary use.
