The invention relates to an apparatus for the denitration of flue gases having a catalyst, operating with addition of ammonia, having, upstream of the catalyst, a heat exchanger which can be heated at least in regions and having a heat exchanger downstream of the catalyst, a heat exchange medium being circulated between the two heat exchangers. To simplify construction and improve functionality, the catalyst and the two heat exchangers are to be arranged directly one after the other in an axial direction, in which case the units can have in particular the same housing cross-sections.
