Arranged on a pivotable windscreen wiper arm which is displaceable in its longitudinal direction is a planet gear, by means of which, as a result of the pivoting movement, a lifting crank is driven, which brings about the longitudinal displacement of the wiper arm via a connecting rod. Advantageously, the planet gear is constructed in such a manner that the driving shaft and the output shaft lie concentrically with one another.
