PURPOSE:To produce an information recording member which has the resistance to a high temperature and high humidity, by providing a thin film of a metallic compound of <=30Angstrom mean thickness between a mixture layer of a metallic compound existing between a transparent substrate and a metallic recording layer and a metal and said metallic recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 1 is made of a film or sheet made of an inorganic material such as a transparent material like glass, for example or an organic material of a polymer such as polyester, polypropylene, etc. A mixture layer 3 of a metallic compound and a metal is provided on the substrate 1, and a metallic recording layer 2 is formed on the layer 5 via the 1st stabilizing layer 4. It is possible to provide the 2nd stabilizing layer 3 or to provide the layer 5 on the layer 3 in order to improve further the stability. The thickness of the layer 4 is set at <=30Angstrom to avoid the formation of a continuous film. As a result, no crack nor creasing is produced to an information recording member even at a high temperature and high humidity. |
