PURPOSE: To increase the output torque of a motor, by a method wherein an arced high permeance magnetic pole, having a large magnetic pole area ratio, and a low permeance section are formed in a stator and a rotor while attractive force is generated by the large magnetic pole areas of the stator and the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A 3-phase brushless motor 10 is equipped with a stator yoke 12 and end brackets 14, 16, arranged at both sides of the yoke 12. The stator yoke 12 is provided with a 3-phase structure consisting of first-third phase stators 18-20. The stator cores 28, 28' of the stator 18 are equipped with arced high permeance magnetic pole surfaces 28a, 28'a and cut sections 28b, 28b' formed in one part of these magnetic pole surfaces and constituting at least one set of low permeance section. The stator cores 34, 34', 40, 40' of the stators 19, 20 are equipped with the high permeance magnetic pole surfaces and the low permeance sections in the same manner. The rotor cores 46, 46', 50, 50', 54, 54' of first-third phase are fixed to the hollow shaft 44 of a rotor 22. |
