PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity for program production by reading picture data in a fixed area as it is at the time of data input operation and storing it in a file in time series and printing data stored in the file as it is at the time of output. CONSTITUTION:At the time of data input from a CRT, all data in a preliminarily determined fixed area on the CRT screen is read in (without distinction between a display part and an input part) and read data is stored in a data file as a log in time series without being processed neither edited. When printing-out of the input log is requested, data in the file stored in time series is printed by a printer like a line printer as it is. Thus, it is sufficient if one journal processing program is generated independently of input items and one data file for storage of the input log and one print-out format are prepared, and this method can be applied to another system as it is.
