PURPOSE:To considerably reduce the work volume by automatically determining attributes of all data items of a data base by the data learning subsystem which learns meanings of data in accordance with individual data values when the new data base is produced. CONSTITUTION:Since a data learning subsystem 9 is constituted as the subsystem of a data base control system 1, attributes of respective data item of data 8 newly inputted to a data base 4 or data 8 updating contents of the data base 4 are automatically determined, and contents of a schema 5 are automatically defined or updated. Thus, the work volume required for new production of the data base 4 or update of its contents is considerable reduced.
