PURPOSE:To improve the scale indication of a gauge and to enable the switching of a range and the setting and switching of an offset by receiving a range detection signal by a gauge scale indication basic data setting means and setting the scale section data and minimum scale indication data of the gauge, correcting the latter data by a correcting means, and displaying the data. CONSTITUTION:The gauge scale indication basic data setting means 30 receives the range detection signal S1 and decides the range in use to set gauge scale section data (GD) and gauge minimum scale indication data (LD) corresponding to the range. An LD correcting means 32 receives an offset detection signal S2 and decides an offset in use to set correction data corresponding to the offset, thereby correcting the LD. A gauge scale indication data generating means 34 sets the number of GDs and generates other GDs based upon the corrected LD successively, so that a display device 16 displays those GD and previously stored gauge scale data.
