PURPOSE:To eliminate the surging of a valve, thereby preventing the output or the part's life-span from being lowered or shortened, by arranging a rotary suction and exhaust valve, which is driven by the output from the engine, on the opening end part to the combustion chamber of a suction and exhaust manifold, which is connected to a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A suction and exhaust and exhaust valve 3, which is rotatable and which is provided with a passage 4 therein, is arranged on an opening end part to the combustion chamber 1 in a suction and exhaust manifold 2 connected to the combustion chamber 1 of a 4-cycle engine. The suction and exhaust manifold 3 is rotated via a revolving shaft, taking advantage of a part of the output from the engine. With this contrivance, smooth suction/ exhaust operation can be obtained. Accordingly, lowering of the engine output or of the life-span of the associated parts, which is caused by the surging of a valve when the discharge exceeds the limit performance of the valve and which has often been experienced so far, can be eliminated.
