PURPOSE:To impart a high coercive force and high (BH)max by containing a specific rare earth element and boron and gallium by specific amounts with the remaining part being iron. CONSTITUTION:The composition is such that 10-40wt.% of R (where R is at least one element selected from Y and rare earth elements), 0.1-8wt.% of boron, not greater than 13wt.% of gallium and inherent impurities are contained with the remaining part being iron. Incidentally, of the rare earth elements, Nd and Pr are elements which are effective in obtaining particulary high (BH)max, so at least one is contained as the essential element. In addition, up to 90wt.% of Ga which is an element effective in improving the coercive force is substituted by Al. Further, to the remaining part, Fe, Co which is effective in elevating the Curie temperature is added by 1-30wt.%. This magnet has a high coercive force and (BH)max. |
